Kyle Spencer (born January 26, 1976 in Glasgow ) is a former British tennis player from Scotland .

Career

Spencer, who focused on doubles, played mainly on the second-rate ATP Challenger Tour , but couldn't win a title there. At the ATP level , reaching the Newport finals in 2000 was his greatest success. He was defeated there at the side of Mitch Sprengelmeyer, the Israelis Jonathan Erlich and Harel Levy . At Wimbledon he was in doubles three times in the first round of a Grand Slam tournament , but he won none of the games.

Spencer took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney , where he competed in doubles. Together with Barry Cowan , he failed in the opening round against the Russians Yevgeni Kafelnikow and Marat Safin 6: 7 2 , 4: 6.
