It rises in the Plantaurel Mountains in the municipality of La Bastide-de-Sérou , generally drains in a northerly direction, and after 70 kilometers flows into the Ariège as a left tributary in the municipality of Clermont-le-Fort . On her way she crosses the Ariège and Haute-Garonne departments .
