The Löffelsberg is 445  m above sea level. NN high mountain in the eastern Wasgau , as the southern part of the Palatinate Forest is also called together with the northern part of the Vosges .

The mountain is completely within the boundaries of the municipality of Busenberg and is about two kilometers northeast of the area where it is settled. Schindhard is two kilometers to the west , and Oberschlettenbach is just as far to the east . In the north lies the Bärenbrunner Tal with the historic Bärenbrunnerhof .

The Löffelsberg is covered by mixed forest. The Erlenbach rises on its eastern flank . In a west-east direction, a footpath leads over its summit, which is part of the Busenberger Holzschuhpfad adventure trail . From here you have a good view of Drachenfels Castle .

The eastern ridge of the Löffelsberg, like the southern slope, is characterized by red sandstone rocks up to 26 meters high , which are used as a climbing garden . A total of 16 climbing routes up to difficulty level VI (UIAA) can be found here.
