The song La-Le-Lu (Only the man in the moon is watching) is a German lullaby that was composed and written by Heino Gaze in 1950 . The original recording was sung by Lonny Kellner and René Carol that same year . In 1955, Heinz Rühmann and Oliver Grimm sang the piece in the film When the Father with the Son . This made it known throughout Germany and a classic bedtime song. In 1993 our song (La Le Lu) from Cinematic feat. Heinz Rühmann & Oliver Grimm entered the German single charts and reached number 11.
