Maria Mucke-Grünefeldt (born August 15, 1919 in Mainz ; † May 28, 2018 ) was a German singer and actress . In 1956 she achieved a top 10 success in the German single charts for me with Heut 'is a holiday .
Life
Maria Mucke received her training at the Städtische Bühnen Leipzig with Lina Carstens and at the Musikhochschule Leipzig with Gertrud Bartsch . In 1938 she got her first engagement at the Städtische Bühnen Leipzig. From 1940 to 1945 she worked at the National Theater Weimar .
In 1948 the first radio recording was made with the Willy Berking dance orchestra at Hessischer Rundfunk. This was followed by recordings with some German broadcasters. In 1950 she signed a contract with the then newly established Philips sound company. Records were made with chansons and operetta cross-sections. Her better-known hits were La-Le-Lu , Zauber von Paris and Heut 'is a holiday for me . She toured across Europe as well as America and Morocco . For television she appeared in programs with Hans-Joachim Kulenkampff ( ARD ) and Peter Frankenfeld ( ZDF ) and most recently in the series Der Forellenhof ( SWF ). From 1993 to 1995 she took on guest roles at the Volkstheater Frankfurt .
From 1992 to 2007 Maria Mucke was a lecturer for Schlager and Chanson at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main .
Maria Mucke lived in Kronberg im Taunus . From 1950 until his death in 1991 she was married to Hans-Otto Grünefeldt , TV program director of the Hessischer Rundfunk from 1963 to 1981 . On her 90th birthday, the Hessischer Rundfunk dedicated a little report about her life's work to her.
Maria Mucke died at the age of 98 and was laid with her husband Hans-Otto Grünefeldt in the Thalerfeld cemetery in Kronberg im Taunus.
