The Laborec (German rarely laboratory [t] z ; Hungarian Laborc ) is a river in eastern Slovakia with a total length of 129 kilometers.

It rises in the Lower Beskydy Mountains (Slovak: Nízke Beskydy ) near the border with Poland, then takes a southeast to southern course past the town of Medzilaborce and unites with the Cirocha at the town of Humenné . After a semicircular course in a westerly and then southerly direction around the Vihorlat , past Strážske and further south Michalovce it finally flows southwards and the left tributary of the Usch into the Latorica . The water catchment area is 4522.5 km² and the flow rate reaches an average of 54.5 m³ / s.
