The Ladinger Spitz is 2079  m above sea level. A. the highest point of the Saualpe, consisting of gneiss and mica schist .

It is located on the municipality boundary between Wolfsberg and Klein Sankt Paul . From the summit you have a view of the Lavant valley , the Karawanken and large parts of Carinthia. When the visibility is particularly beautiful, the view extends as far as the Großglockner .

Surroundings

About one and a half kilometers south of the summit, at an altitude of 1827 meters, is the Wolfsberger Hütte of the Austrian Alpine Club and to the southeast, about two kilometers away, the Offnerhütte at an altitude of 1668 meters. Near the summit there are two small circular bodies of water known in the area as sea ​​eyes . Three other peaks can be reached within around 30 minutes: the Kaiserofen, the Sandkogel and the Gertrusk .

Ascent

The summit can be reached in an easy hike in 2-3 hours. On the west side about 80 meters below the summit, the Lavanttaler Höhenweg and Eisenwurzenweg 08 lead past in a north-south direction, but the summit can be climbed on both the south and north sides via path 08A.
