Lætitia Owona Anaba-Denis (born February 4, 1988 in Yaoundé ) is a French athlete .

career

The French born in Cameroon started at the World Athletics Championships in 2005 in the heptathlon , in which she reached sixth place with 5,402 points. At the athletics junior world championships in 2006 , she ran the 400 meter hurdles and in the French 4 x 400 meter relay without reaching the finals. In 2007 she won the silver medal at the European Junior Athletics Championships in 2007 in the 100-meter hurdles and achieved fourth place in the 4-by-400-meter relay. She also took part in the 2007 Universiade .

At the Universiade 2009 she won the bronze medal in a 4 x 100 meter relay with Ayodelé Ikuesan , Amandine Elard and Lucienne M'belu and reached seventh place over 100 meter hurdles. At the European Athletics U23 Championships in 2009 , she started again on the 400-meter hurdle distance, but missed the final.

At the European Championships in Barcelona in 2010 , she was a member of the French 4 x 400 meter relay, but was only used in the preliminary stages. She achieved her greatest international success in 2011. At the European Indoor Championships in Paris she won the bronze medal together with Muriel Hurtis , Marie Gayot and Floria Gueï .

At the French Championships in 2012, a referee forgot a starting block on her lane in the 400 meter hurdles semifinals from the previous run. As a result, she missed the final and qualification for the 2012 European Athletics Championships and the 2012 Olympic Games . Their protest was unsuccessful.
