The Laines is a river in France , in the Grand Est region .

The source stream rises under the name Ru de Vignes in the municipality of Ville-sur-Terre , in the Aube department . The Laine generally dehydrated northwest and below reached by Soulaines-Dhuys the Haute-Marne . Near Longeville-sur-la-Laines , it then again forms the border with the Aube department and the Forêt d'Orient Regional Nature Park over a length of about five kilometers . It then definitely enters the Aube department and, after a total of around 28 kilometers, flows into the Voire as a left tributary at the municipal border of Lentilles and Hampigny .
