The Laisälven is a river in the provinces of Norrbottens län and Västerbottens län in northern Sweden .
It has its origins in Nasafjäll near the Norwegian border. From there it flows in a south-easterly direction, flowing through the lakes Tjeknalis , Padjejaure and Gautosjön . Then it passes the Märkforsen rapids and flows through the elongated Lake Laisan . The Laisälven then takes on the right tributary Dellekjokk . It continues its course in a south-easterly direction. Only shortly before it flows into the Nedre Gautsträsket lake north of Sorsele through which the Vindelälven flows, it flows into the province of Västerbotten County and turns west.
The length of the Laisälven is 190 km. Its catchment area covers about 3000 km². The place Laisvall is located on the northeast bank of the Laisan.
The Laisälven is still natural. It is popular with canoeists . In the river can be brown trout and brook trout catch.
