The Lampy is a river in France that runs in the Occitania region . It rises in the Montagne Noire , in the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park . The source is located in the municipality of Arfons in the Tarn department . From here the river generally drains with a curve to the west in a southerly direction, after a few kilometers it reaches the border with the neighboring Aude department and after a total of 29 kilometers flows into the Fresquel as a left tributary in the municipality of Alzonne .

Below the dam Bassin du Lampy Neuf water in the supply channel trench de la Montagne Noire which the derived reservoir of Saint-Ferreol collected and used to water doping of the Canal du Midi is used.
