Lance Earl Deal (born August 21, 1961 in Riverton , Wyoming ) is a former American hammer thrower .

Sporting successes

Deal participated in four Summer Olympic Games ( 1988 , 1992 , 1996 , 2000 ) and four World Championships ( 1991 , 1993 , 1995 , 1999 ).

His biggest success deal by winning the silver medal at the Games of Atlanta , when he was with 81.12 meters, only the Hungarian Balazs Kiss (81.24 m) bow had.

In 1995 and 1999 he secured the gold medal at the Pan American Games .

Best performance

Deal set his best performance in 1996 with 82.25 meters, a current national record.
