Throughout the season, Schwerin's first team was so superior that the national championship title was never in question. Even the games against the biggest competitor from Greifswald were won 7-1 and 8-0. Bad luck for Schwerin's second team, which despite a strong final spurt, could no longer overtake Anklam and Neubrandenburg and was relegated. In the promotion games to the league, Schwerin took third place behind VfB Lübeck II and SV Eidelstedt and thus just missed the desired goal of promotion.

Compared to the previous season, another team started in the regional league, so that the last Anklam last year could keep the class. This year, however, they should end up in the secure middle of the table. In contrast, the troops from Sassnitz . If the routine helped over some weaknesses in the previous year, there was hardly anything to win this year. The logical consequence was the descent. At the top of the table there was an exciting four-way battle the whole season, which was only decided on the penultimate match day in favor of Greifswalder SV 98 II with a 6-2 over local rivals from BSV, while Neubrandenburg lost at the same time in Schwerin. On the last day of the match, the GSV 98 II tormented itself to a draw at Empor Sassnitz and took the last necessary point. To date, this has been the most exciting and best season of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern regional league.

Until the last day of the match, the state capital from BSC 95 Schwerin had the best starting position, but lost the decisive game against Güstrow 3: 5.
