The state audit Brandenburg , according to Art. 107 of the Constitution of Brandenburg an independent, the law only subject supreme state authority.
tasks
Its task is to audit the entire budget and economic management of the state of Brandenburg including the special assets and the operations of the state. The aim is to examine the correctness of budgetary and economic management and to discover and uncover undesirable developments. The Court of Auditors pays particular attention to compliance with statutory provisions and administrative regulations and principles. The audit office itself determines the time, type and scope of the audits carried out. In an annual report to the state parliament of Brandenburg , it summarizes its results and recommendations based on them.
structure
The members of the State Audit Office are the President and the heads of the individual departments. You enjoy judicial independence. The State Audit Office has four audit departments with a total of twelve audit areas. Administrative tasks are performed by the presidential department. In addition to its headquarters in Potsdam, the State Audit Office has branches in Cottbus and Brandenburg an der Havel .
