The L 1093 comes as St 2196 from Bad Steben in Bavaria . Then it leads through the places Blankenstein and Pirk . On the new bypass it leads past birch hill . For a few meters, the L 1093 leads to the federal road 90 in the direction of Gefell. At the next branch it bends to the right and then to the left through Frössen . Here it crosses the L 1091, the old connecting road between the B 90 and the L 1093. The L 1093 leads through Göritz and Ullersreuth to Hirschberg (Saale) . In the city the L 1092 and the K 554 cross the course of the L 1093. In Dobareuth the L 1093 converges with the Bundesstraße 2 . In Gefell , state road 1093 turns east towards Plauen . Shortly after Haidefeld , after the L 1093 has passed the state border twice, the road becomes Saxon and continues as the S 287 towards Reuth .

Birkenhügel bypass

The L 1093 connects Blankenstein with Gefell . Since the new bypass in Birkenhügel was completed in 2014, traffic has now been diverted.
