Haidefeld is a district of Gebersreuth , a district of Gefell in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .

Geography and geology

The hamlet of Haidefeld is 632 m above sea level and is the highest settlement in the Gefeller area. To the northwest is the Rosenbühl, the highest mountain in the Thuringian Vogtland. The state road 1093 leads directly past the hamlet of Gefell to Plauen . With this road the settlement has a connection to the federal highway 2 and thus to the federal motorways A9 , A93 and A72 . The former inner traffic situation of the villages to the meadows and fields on the plateau of the southeast Thuringian slate mountains probably led to the establishment of the hamlet. Neighboring towns are south Gebersreuth, west of the city of Gefell, north Rothacker and east Misslareuth .

With the 710 of the transport company KomBus Haidefeld has a connection to the core city Gefell and from there to the cities Schleiz , Hirschberg (Saale) , Hof (Saale) , Tanna and Plauen .

history

Haidefeld was first mentioned in a document in 1797. The close connection between the residents and Gebersreuth has been known for a long time. After the Second World War , the residents had to do with the problems of securing the border with the FRG . The children no longer go to Gebersreuth, but to Gefell with the students from the partner town.

The village is dominated by agriculture.
