The Landhaus Louisenthal , also Landhaus Möller , is located in Bremen , Horn-Lehe district, Lehe district, Leher Heerstraße 105. It was built around 1815. The building has been a listed building in Bremen since 1973 .

history

In the 18th century, the Vorwerk Lehe was owned by the Schöne dynasty of Bremen councilors . Around 1800 the important Bremen mayor Dr. Georg Gröning (1745 to 1825) took over the area.

The one- and two-storey, plastered country house with a gable roof was built for Mayor Gröning around 1815 in the classicist era . The three-axis portico with Ionic column capitals on the ground floor and figure columns on the upper floor is distinctive. In the tympanum of the gable triangle there is a figure ornament. Some medallions set into the walls and old column heads inside have been preserved.

After 1825 there were various owners who extended the estate for a short time. The innkeeper Johann Hinrich Poggenburg ran a coffee and wine bar in the house from around 1827. In 1833 it became a pension institution for difficult-to-educate children. In 1868 it was bought by the Bremen merchant Friedrich Ludwig Möller ( Landhaus Möller in der Leh ). A reconstruction then presumably took place in which the former half-timbered building was equipped with a classical facade. After further changes of ownership, a children's home was housed in the house. In 1952 the farmer, dairy farmer and Senator (CDU) Andreas Bölken (1901 to 1965) bought the property ( Senator-Bölken-Hof ). The half-timbered barn to the left of the country house was demolished around 1960 (?). After renovations, the house served as a hotel from 1958, which Reinhard Traue ran from 1980 to 2006.

The discounter Aldi finally bought a large area with the country house in 2007 and built a branch on it. The historic building was extensively renovated according to plans by Manfred Schomers and Rainer Schürmann; the facade could be saved, while inside almost everything was rebuilt. It has served as the Horn-Lehe local authority since 2014 . Exhibitions and events also take place in the local office.

The State Office for Monument Preservation Bremen ( Georg Skalecki ) described "... the main facade with portico and figures as the defining feature of the house ... and important for the historical cityscape."
