The approximately 12 hectare protected area “Part of the landscape near the Frauenkapelle” belongs to the natural area “ Donau-Ablach-Platten ” and is located about 850 meters southeast of Bad Saulgau town center, north and south of Buchauer Strasse , at an altitude of about 587  m above sea level. NHN . It includes, among other things, the almost 400-year-old cemetery at the Liebfrauenkirche and the adjacent Gewann Hinter der Liebfrauenkapelle to the east .
