The Mühlbachtal area is a protected landscape area (LSG number 4.37.034) designated by ordinance of June 14, 1986 in the area of ​​the Baden-Württemberg cities of Mengen and Scheer in the Sigmaringen district in Germany .

The 22- hectare Mühlbachtal protected area is located around four kilometers north of the city center of the city on theheumenen district of Blochingen and the district of Heudorf belonging to Scheer .

Protection purpose

The main purpose is to maintain this valley as an open valley. Above all, the natural course of the stream, the alternation of meadows and unused wetlands, the natural forest edges and the former dam not only create a varied landscape that is attractive for relaxation, but also diverse habitats for flora and fauna.
