The Illmensee, Ruschweiler See and Volzer See area is a protected landscape area (LSG number 4.37.026) in the Baden-Württemberg community of Illmensee in the district of Sigmaringen in Germany .
location
The approximately 260 hectare protected area Illmensee, Ruschweiler See and Volzer See belongs to the Upper Swabian hill country . It stretches from the Ruschweiler See and the Volzer See in the northwest over the Illmenseer town center to the Illmensee in the southeast.
Protection purpose
The main protection purpose is the preservation of a scenic chain of lakes in Lake Constance-Molasseland and its surroundings.
Contiguous protected areas
The conservation area encloses the nature reserve " Ruschweiler und Volzer See " in the northeast and is part of the FFH area " Pfrunger Ried and Lakes near Illmensee ".
