Langendorf is a part of the municipality Wohratal in the central Hessian district of Marburg-Biedenkopf .

geography

Langendorf is the northernmost place in the district. State road 3087 runs right through the village .

history

The village was first mentioned in writing around 1246 in a document from the monastery Haina , with the place name Langendorp .

On February 1, 1971, as part of the regional reform in Hesse, the municipality of Hertingshausen was incorporated into the previously newly formed municipality of Wohratal.
