Lanni Marchant (born April 11, 1984 ) is a Canadian long-distance runner .

In 2011 she finished seventh in the Ottawa Race Weekend marathon and 13th in the Chicago Marathon .

In 2012, when she finished fifth in the Rotterdam Marathon , she improved her personal record by more than twelve minutes to 2:31:51, but missed the Olympic standard of the Canadian Athletics Federation by just under two minutes.

The following year she won the Tom King Classic and the Around the Bay Road Race and came second in the Vancouver Half Marathon . At the 2013 World Athletics Championships marathon , she suffered a slump in the last few kilometers and came in 44th. two months later she was third in the Toronto Waterfront Marathon , setting the current national record with 2:28:00 h.

In 2014 she won the Tom King Classic with the Canadian half marathon record of 1:10:47 h, came 14th in the Boston Marathon and defended her title in Vancouver. She was fourth in the Commonwealth Games marathon in Glasgow and seventh in the Toronto Waterfront Marathon.

In 2015, she finished ninth in the New York City Half Marathon and third in the 10K Ottawa Race Weekend Canadian 10K road running champion . She then won the Calgary Marathon half marathon and the Vancouver Half Marathon for the third time in a row. Over 10,000 m she won bronze at the Pan American Games in Toronto and came in 18th at the World Championships in Beijing .
