2014 Boston Marathon
The 2014 Boston Marathon was the 118th edition of the annual running event in Boston , United States . The marathon took place on April 21, 2014 and was the third World Marathon Majors of the year.
Meb Keflezighi won the men’s race in 2:08:37 hours and the women’s Bizunesh Deba with a course record in 2:19:59 hours. Because of a doping violation , Rita Jeptoo Sitienei was later stripped of the victory.
