Philes Moora Ongori

Philes Moora Ongori (born July 19, 1986 in Kisii Central District , Nyanza Province ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .

In 2006 she won the Matsue half marathon and came third in the Sapporo half marathon . In 2007 she won the Japanese company championship in the half marathon and was eighth in the 10,000 meter run of the World Athletics Championships in Osaka . The following year she won the Kagawa Marugame Half Marathon with the world's best time of 1:07:57 h. In 2009 she finished third in the RAK half marathon in 1:07:50 h and won silver at the World Half Marathon Championships in Birmingham in 1:07:38 h, and the following year she was second in the Zayed International Half Marathon.

In 2011 she finished second in the Paris Half Marathon and won the Rotterdam Marathon on her debut over the 42.195 km distance . In 2012 she triumphed in the Berlin Half Marathon and the Yangzhou Jianzhen Half Marathon .
