Lanslevillard is a commune Déléguée with 485 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the town of Val-Cenis in the department of Savoie in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It was part of the arrondissement of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne and the canton of Modane and previously the capital of the canton of Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis .

With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Bramans , Lanslebourg-Mont-Cenis , Lanslevillard , Sollières-Sardières and Termignon were merged to form Commune nouvelle Val-Cenis.

geography

Lanslevillard is located in the French Alps on the Col du Mont Cenis , on the former highway from Paris to Milan and on the Route des Grandes Alpes at an altitude of approx. 1300 m at the confluence of the Doron de Termignon and the Arc River . Part of the area is in the Vanoise National Park . The Val-Cenis ski station is also located here.
