Lara Fritzsche

Lara Fritzsche (born January 11, 1984 in Cologne ) is a German journalist and non-fiction author .

Life

After graduating from high school in 2003, doing an internship at the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger and studying German and psychology , Lara Fritzsche is now a journalist .

In 2005 the trainee at the time received the Theodor Wolff Prize from the German newspaper publishers for the report “My friend Ana”, an article about anorexic girls. In the same year Fritzsche was awarded the Antonius Funke Prize of the Catholic Press Association for her World Youth Day column "At my guest", which appeared daily in the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger during World Youth Day. Fritzsche then worked there as an editor.

In 2006 she was awarded the Axel Springer Prize for an article about the changed communication in the mobile phone age . Also in 2006 Lara Fritzsche received the Emma Journalist Prize from Alice Schwarzer and the pop singer Yvonne Catterfeld . Her anorexia report "My friend Ana" was once again awarded.

In 2009 her first book "Life is not a pony farm" was published, in which she documents the events within a senior year of a high school for over a year.

From November 2009 to January 2011 she was editor of the magazine Neon , from February to September 2012 she was an author and consultant for Zeitmagazin and in October 2012 she became editor of the Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin . Since February 2018 Lara Fritzsche has been deputy editor-in-chief of the Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin.
