Even before the 1985/86 season , the Minnesota North Stars from the National Hockey League had the undrafted American under contract and put him in both the NHL and their farm teams in the International Hockey League until the end of the 1990/91 season and American Hockey League . There he was mostly on the farm team at the Kansas City Blades for the next two seasons , with whom he won the Turner Cup , the championship of the IHL, at the end of the 1991/92 season . For the Sharks himself, he ran in 20 NHL games. In November 1993 he then moved to the New York Islanders for which he did not complete a single NHL game. In March 1994, the Pittsburgh Penguins accepted him into their team via the waiver list . With the Penguins, the left winger played his last seven NHL games at the end of the 1993/94 season . As a result, he was only used in the International Hockey League and ended his career after the 1996/97 season.
