Lars Schache (born April 22, 1976 ) is a German foil fencer . With the national team he was world and European champion, with FC Tauberbischofsheim two times German champion . He is married to the internationally successful foil fencer Anja Schache .

successes

Schache had his first major international success with his third place at the Cadet World Championship in 1993. This was followed in 1995 by a second place at the Junior World Championship and winning the Junior European Championship.

In the age group of assets Schache won the World Team Cup 2002 in Lisbon, together with Ralf Bißdorf , Peter Joppich and André Wessels and the European Championship in 2001 in Koblenz (with Dominik Behr , Ralf Bißdorf and Christian Schlechtweg ). In the individual his best placings at international championships were an 11th place at the European championship in 1999 in Bolzano and a 10th place at the 2001 world championship in Nîmes . He also won two world cup tournaments and was German runner-up in 2000 and 2004 . With FC Tauberbischofsheim he won the German team championship twice ( 2006 and 2007 ).
