Lars Wilmsen (born July 14, 1993 in Duisburg ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Lars Wilmsen initially did triathlon , tennis and athletics before he got into volleyball through a school club. He grew up in Moers and played for Moerser SC from 2007 to 2010 . Since there was no youth team at this club at the time, Wilmsen was also active on Osterather TV in 2007/08 . From 2008 to 2010 he played in the youth team of VV Humann Essen . In 2010 the middle blocker moved to 1. VV Kamp-Lintfort . With the TuB Bocholt , he made promotion to the third division in the 2011/12 season . He then moved to the second division Rumelner TV , with whom he reached fifth place in the second Bundesliga North. In 2013 Wilmsen was signed by the first division team TV Bühl . With the Baden club he reached the Challenge Round in the CEV Cup and the semi-finals of the Bundesliga play-offs in the 2013/14 season . Then Wilmsen moved to Bundesliga competitor TV Rottenburg .
