Last Flight to Abuja is a Nigerian thriller from the year 2012 by the director Obi Emelonya .

action

The film is based on a true story and tells the story of various passengers on the last flight from Lagos to Abuja on a Friday 2006. Before the film deals with the actual flight, it is divided into various subplots.

The Lagos-based pharmaceutical group TNX is celebrating the company's very positive black numbers in a conference under the leadership of CEO Nike. Nike rewards its employees Yolanda, Adesola, David and Kevin with a spontaneous trip to Abuja at his own expense. After the meeting is over, Kevin notices on the way home that he actually wanted to celebrate his wife Angie's birthday with her. When trying to get along with her, Kevin forgets the time and ultimately his flight.

Meanwhile you can see that the playboy Adesola is having an argument with the secretary Soifiba. When Yolanda observes this, she suspects an affair between the two and leaves the scene very quickly. It turns out that Soifiba is blackmailing Adesola, who is probably guilty of criminal acts in the company.

Suzie, who works in Abuja, and her fiancé Dan, who lives in Lagos, suffer from the difficulties of their long-distance relationship . The career woman has a guilty conscience because she has to leave her fiancé at home alone because of her job and decides to spontaneously book a flight to Lagos. After their arrival, however, she caught him there inflagranti with another woman. Then she decides to take the next possible flight back to Abuja.

Other passengers of the flight are u. a. the Premier League hired budding soccer star Jimmy and an elderly couple who booked the flight to receive medical treatment for diabetes, as well as a family man who, however, in the end was dissuaded by his whining daughter from taking the flight. This was just right for Suzie, who then bought his ticket to Abuja at the last minute.

After all the passengers have boarded the flight, they notice that Boss Nike himself is not present. This was stopped because the police are investigating his company and questioning him at length. It is now learned that Adesola did indeed engage in illegal activities at TNS. You also learn that he and Soifiba had an affair, and Adesola then left them by the wayside. For reasons of unrequited love, she now wanted to blackmail him into exposing his machinations. In an angry conversation right before the flight in a hotel room, Adesola kills the secretary and then forgets his passport at the crime scene. He ended up getting on the plane using his driver's license.

There is great turbulence in the Flamingo Airlines flight and a crash ensues. All seem to survive except for Adesola, whose life the explosion took.
