Latin American Wings (own spelling: law ) was a Chilean airline based in Santiago de Chile and based at Santiago de Chile Airport .

history

LAW was founded in 2015 by a group of lawyers and pilots and began scheduled flight operations the following year. The first flight on January 27, 2016 led from Santiago de Chile to Punta Cana .

As a result, national destinations such as Concepción and Puerto Montt as well as continental destinations such as Lima were mainly served .

On January 5, 2018, the airline announced that it would end its domestic flight offering and focus on international and intercontinental routes. The reason for this are current market changes. On March 10, 2018, all flights were suspended until further notice and investigations were initiated, apparently the fleet was operated without insurance from November 2017, just as no maintenance of the fleet could be proven. Spare parts could not be traced back and a flight took place without the necessary type rating of a pilot.
