The Laucherenstock is a 2639 m above sea level. M. high mountain in Switzerland .
Location and surroundings
The Laucherenstock lies on the border between the cantons of Obwalden and Nidwalden . According to SOIUSA, it is located in the Unterwaldner Voralpen .
In the south, the Laucherenstock falls into the Horbistal , whose steep rocky step is also known as the "End of the World". The Horbistal flows south into Engelberg . The Rugghubel with the Rugghubelhütte is located southeast of the Laucherenstock .
In the east-west axis, the Laucherenstock lies on a ridge, which falls to the west over the Grosse Sättelistock , the Schyeggstock and the Rigidalstock and finally into the Engelbergertal . To the east of this ridge is the Ruchstock . In a northerly direction you reach the Bannalp with the Bannalpsee .
