The Lucerne and Unterwaldner Pre-Alps are subsection 14.III of the SOIUSA classification of the Swiss Pre-Alps .
They are located in the cantons of Lucerne , Obwalden and Nidwalden . The most important peaks below are counted according to other classifications to the Emmental Alps . According to SOIUSA, they consist of the supergroups Lucerne Prealps and Unterwaldner Voralpen .

- In the north on the Mittelland separated from Schangnau , Entlebuch , Kleine Emme and Lake Lucerne
- in the east on the Schwyz and Uri pre-Alps bordered by Lake Lucerne (in the south Lake Uri )
- in the southeast to the Urner Alps separated from Haslital , Gental , Jochpass , Griessental , Grosstal and Isital
- in the southwest on the Bernese Pre-Alps bordered by the Emmental , Südelgraben , Mariental , Chringe , Altibach , Lungerersee and Brünigpass
