Laufzorn is a hamlet in the municipality of Oberhaching in the Munich district .

geography

The hamlet is located in the western municipality of Oberhaching and is surrounded in the north, west and south by the municipality-free area of Grünwalder Forst . For the 1987 census, 21 inhabitants in 4 buildings with living space with 7 apartments were recorded.

About 1.2 km southeast of Laufzorn there is a well-preserved Celtic jump in the form of an irregular square and the remains of the Roman road from Augsburg via Gauting to Salzburg ( Via Julia ), a 60 cm high, 8 to 10 m wide, in east-west -Directional dam.

history

Laufzorn is mentioned for the first time in a document from the year 804, in which a church to Laufzorn is handed over to the church in Freising . The name refers to a cleared gathering place for game that was already there.

Later, the hamlet with 3–4 farms became a Schwaige , an estate dedicated to livestock farming. The Schwaige was acquired by the Wittelsbach family before 1446. From 1588, there is evidence of a sovereign horse breeding there. Between 1616 and 1619 Albrecht the Leuchtenberger had Laufzorn Castle built on the Schwaige site.

Laufzorn has originally belonged to the Grünwald community as an exclave since the community was formed in 1818 , but was incorporated into Oberhaching when the regional reform in Bavaria was completed on May 1, 1978, as was the community of Oberbiberg .
