Economy and Infrastructure

Volunteer firefighter

Lauingen has had a volunteer fire brigade since June 1875 . After a building on Kornstraße and Brückentor had served as a fire fighting equipment house for many decades, a new and modern fire fighting equipment was built at the beginning of the new millennium.

Public facilities

Furthermore, there is both a kindergarten and a primary school on site, which has been a branch of the Königslutter primary school since 2008 due to the falling number of pupils. The school building, which is currently still in use, was built in the post-war period and expanded in the late 1980s to include two classrooms, a teacher's room and other rooms due to the increased number of students. Before there were only two classrooms. The old school building is opposite the church and is now used as a residential building.

church

In the center of the village is the Evangelical Lutheran church with a cross plan, which was built in 1875/1876 to meet the increased space requirements. The former cemetery is located around the church, but it was moved to the southern entrance to the village a long time ago.
