The Laupke is a 3.9 km long orographically right tributary of the Hoppecke in the southeastern urban area of Brilon , North Rhine-Westphalia .
geography
The stream rises on the eastern side of the saddle between Kreuz Habuche and Fohrenkopf about 1.7 km east of Brilon-Wald at an altitude of 674 m above sea level. NHN . First, the Laupke flows for around 500 m in an easterly direction before turning north. Following this direction of flow, the stream flows into the river after 3.9 km at 410 m above sea level without touching any localities . NHN in the Hoppecke. The mouth is located about 300 m southeast of the village of Pulvermühle belonging to the Brilon district of Gudenhagen-Petersborn . The difference in height between the source and the mouth is 264 m, which corresponds to an average bed slope of 67 ‰.
The Laupke has a catchment area of 2.49 km² that drains to the North Sea via Hoppecke, Diemel and Weser .

The course of the Laupke lies in the Hoppecke - Diemel - Bergland nature reserve . In the lower reaches of the Laupke flows in the nature reserve Mittleres Hoppecketal , which protrudes about 400 m along the stream into the aforementioned landscape protection area.
