Laurin & Klement MK6

The Laurin & Klement MK6 , also known as the Type 445 or Type 450 , was the first automobile from this manufacturer with a valve motor based on the Knight system . It came out in 1920 with 4 - 6-seater bodies in wood / steel mixed construction, individually designed according to customer requirements.

The water-cooled, valve-controlled six-cylinder four-stroke engine had a displacement of 4962 cm³ and an output of 60 hp (44 kW). He accelerated the 1300 kg vehicle up to 100 km / h. The drive power was passed on to the rear wheels via the separate (type MK6) or flanged to the engine block (types 445 and 450) and a cardan shaft. The frame of the car was made of riveted steel U-profiles.
