The Le Grand Bleu is with a length of 114 meters one of the largest private mega yachts in the world. In the list of the longest motor yachts, it ranks 27th.

Le Grand Bleu by Night (2010)

The yacht was designed by Kusch Yachts and built by the German Vulkan shipyard . It was completed in 2000. At first it belonged to the American Paul Allen , who then sold it to the Russian billionaire Roman Abramowitsch in 2002 . He had the luxury yacht converted by HDW from Kiel according to his ideas. In 2006 he sold the yacht to his friend and business partner Yevgeny Schwidler .

The ship is powered by two 2648  kW (3600  hp ) Wärtsilä engines. There are hardly any details about the inner workings, as Abramowitsch is very reserved in relation to his private life. The ship will have a gyro-stabilized cabin with gyro sensors made in Germany (iMAR, St. Ingbert ). The interior designer is Terence Disdale . The Le Grand Bleu also has a helicopter, a 23-meter-long motor boat and a mini submarine on board. The ship has a crew of over 50 men.
