Lederdorn is a district of the municipality of Chamerau in the Upper Palatinate district of Cham . The village of Lederdorn is located in the Bavarian Forest on the 2132 state road between Bad Kötzting and Chamerau.

history

Emperor Heinrich III. gave two royal hooves in leather thorn to Hartwig, an ancestor of the cathedral bailiffs of Regensburg and counts of arches . Domvogt Friedrich IV bequeathed an estate in Lederare to the Oberalteich monastery around 1147 . In 1184 the monastery already owned four farms in Lederdorn.

On July 27, 1448, Duke Albrecht III handed over . the goods to Lederdorn to the brothers Albrecht, Haimram and Heinrich Nothafft . In 1483 Lederdorn fell to Wilhelm Schönstainer through marriage to the widow Amalie of Martin von Sattelbogen zu Lichteneck, a born Noth nun. Ulrich der Chamerauer bought his Lederdorn and Ried estates in 1486, but in 1510 Lederdorn was certified as Hofmark in the hands of Albrecht and Georg Nothracht. In 1549 it passed to the Eyb .

Lederdorn belonged to the district court of Kötzting . Its court mark register from 1558 mentions it as court mark. In 1629 it was bought by Hans Albrecht Nothracht from his stepson Hans Ludwig von Eyb. In 1821 the emergency workers were allowed to set up a patrimonial court in Runding , to which the former Hofmark Lederdorn was also affiliated as a patrimonial court community. In 1829 jurisdiction came to the state through the sale of the Nothracht property.

A village chapel had stood in Lederdorn since 1864. In 1913 the Lederdorner founded a church building association with the aim of building their own church, but the First World War prevented the project. It was not until 1950 that these plans were taken up again. First the parsonage was built, one year later, on July 6, 1952, the foundation stone of the church was laid. In 1954 the branch church Maria Königin was given a name and one year later consecrated by Auxiliary Bishop Josef Hiltl .
