Happiness comes to you quietly is a 1934 US feature film by Victor Schertzinger with Lilian Harvey in her last Hollywood role.
action
Nick Kerry is a womanizer traveling the world, whom women chase after in droves - not least because he owns a lot of money and also owns a yacht. In Monte Carlo he met the somewhat gullible and easily influenced American Kay Routledge. The young woman immediately succumbs to his Casanova charm. Kay takes his tender words, which are always part of his self-portrayal as a charmer on duty, too seriously and is accordingly devastated when Nick sails on with his ship the following day. But as far away as he is, Kay just can't forget the heartbreaker.
Nick disappears to India for a while. But he hasn't gotten the pretty, graceful Kay out of his head since they met, and he decides to return to look for Kay. But apparently he cannot give up his old behavior, because the next queen of hearts is a young French countess named Margot de Legère. Finally, Nick realizes that "his" Kay has been taken elsewhere: She has become engaged to his boyfriend!

useful information
Lilian Harvey had traveled to Hollywood at the beginning of 1933 and was signed by the Fox Corporation there. After three films in a row did not bring the hoped-for box office results, they were loaned to Columbia Pictures for this film. But luck comes to you quietly, too , was not well received by the American audience. She then traveled remorsefully to Germany via Great Britain, where she made the film Invitation to the Waltz , and continued her UFA career there that same year.
