Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry is a computer game released in 2018 , developed by the German studio CrazyBunch and published by Assemble Entertainment . The erotic - Adventure video game is a remake of the popular Leisure Suit Larry- series. With Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice , a successor has been announced, which will be released on October 15, 2020.

The plot ignores the previous games and brings the would-be woman hero Larry Laffer from the 1980s back to the 21st century. There he has to familiarize himself with new technologies such as smartphones and apps like Tinder (called Timber in the game), Facebook (called Farcebook in the game) and Instagram (called Instacrap in the game), with which he arranges new meetings. He has to be rated positively by as many users as possible in order to become popular enough to land with his dream woman. Modern society, technology and hipster and influencer culture as well as other pop culture are parodied.
Game principle and technology
Like all games in the series, this part is a point-and-click adventure with erotic humor. To advance, the player must solve puzzles by combining objects and talking to characters. The mobile phone, with which the player can use special apps, functions as a new item. There is a fast travel function for traveling. In total there are over 30 locations and over 30 characters.
Production notes
The game was developed by the Hamburg-based developer studio CrazyBunch . In November 2018, Assemble Entertainment released the game for Microsoft Windows and MacOS via Steam . In June 2019 the game was released for the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch .
In August 2020 a successor called "Wet Dreams Dry Twice" was announced.

The game was largely praised by the press because it criticized modern society with a politically incorrect and sometimes ambiguous and infantile erotic humor, using many allusions and word games. The well-written dialogues and the funny characters are also praised. The game is reminiscent of the charm of the old games. The graphics and puzzles are kept simple, but they fit the game better. It is criticized that the speech output is sometimes too stiff and too many clichés are used, as well as some game errors.
“The gags ignite, the characters are personable and the world is manageable but interesting. (...) Even a few locations could use a little more interaction and a few puzzles strain the typical adventure logic too much. But it's just fun to make New Lost Wages insecure together with Larry and the wonderfully sarcastic Pi and to alternate between shamelessly flat dick jokes, loving allusions to earlier and pleasantly fitting gags about hipsters, fitness fanatics and social media influencers looking forward. Larry is happy to continue like this in sequels. (...) Larry finds his way back to his old adventure qualities and makes the leap into the present with flying colors! "
