Leitheim is a church village and part of the market Kaisheim in the district of Donau-Ries in the administrative region of Swabia ( Bavaria ).
Leitheim is one of the border towns of the Alemannic dialect area to Bavarian .
history
Leitheim was an independent municipality in the Donauwörth district and was added to the Donau-Ries district on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria and incorporated into the Kaisheim market.
Attractions
Well-known is the Leitheim Palace , the summer residence of the abbots of the nearby Kaisheim Monastery .
The Catholic branch church Sankt Blasius belongs to the parish Sankt Willibald in Altisheim .
