Hafenreut is a church village and part of the municipality of Kaisheim in the Swabian district of Donau-Ries . Mayor is Martin Scharr (PWG).

Hafenreut is one of the border towns of the Alemannic dialect area to Bavarian .

Hafenreut was an independent municipality in the Donauwörth district and was incorporated into the Kaisheim market on July 1, 1971 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria and added to the Donau-Ries district on July 1, 1972 with Kaisheim.

The Catholic branch church Sankt Georg belongs to the parish of the Assumption of Mary in Kaisheim .
