The Lembach is a right-hand and southern tributary of the Schwalm , which runs along its entire length in the area of the Schwalm-Eder district ( Hesse , Germany ).
geography
The Lembach rises between the Borken districts of Pfaffenhausen and Freudenthal in the northeastern tip of the Verna forest at about 240 meters above sea level. Between Pfaffenhausen and Freudenthal, the Lembach runs in a northerly direction before turning northeast to the Homberg district of Lembach . Shortly before Lembach, the Jordan brook coming from Freudenthal flows into the Lembach, which then flows past the western edge of the town, swiveling in a north-westerly direction towards the Borken district of Lendorf . The Lembach maintains this direction until it flows into the Schwalm about 1 km after Lendorf.
On its way through the urban areas of Borken and Homberg, the Lembach overcomes a height difference of around 73 meters and is around 6.4 km in length.
