Pfaffenhausen is a district of Borken in the north Hessian Schwalm-Eder district ( Germany ). About 170 people live in the small village.

To 554  hectares large district Pfaffenhausen include the settlements of since 1928 Staatsdomäne Marienrode (247 ha) and the Good Gilserhof (119 ha). There was also the place Hackenrode, which fell desolate after it was last mentioned in 1841 .

Freudenthal is east of Pfaffenhausen and Stolzenbach to the south-west . To the northwest, Pfaffenhausen borders on the core town of Borken. The Marienrode state domain is located between Pfaffenhausen and Borken. The Gilserhof estate is located in a north-westerly direction towards Singlis .

Pfaffenhausen is accessed by two state roads. The local name for the L 3152, on the south-eastern edge of Pfaffenhausen to Stolzenbach, is "Zur Lindenalle". This joins the L 3384 in Pfaffenhausen, which when coming from Borken is referred to as "Am Schwimmbad" and from the confluence of the L3152 as "Freudenthaler Straße" to Freudenthal.

From the 16th century until its dissolution in 1866, Pfaffenhausen belonged to the Landgrave's Office of Borken, initially under the name Pfaffhusen .

After the estate districts were dissolved in 1928, the Marienrode state domain and the Gilserhof estate came to Pfaffenhausen. This increased the area to 554 hectares.

On December 31, 1971, the previously independent community was incorporated into the city of Borken (Kassel district) with seven other locations.
