The Borken Office of the Landgraviate of Hesse administered the landgraviate possessions and the landgrave courts that were in the vicinity of the city of Borken .

In addition to the towns of Herboldshausen (now a desert in the west of Borken) and Heckenhausen (now a desert in the northwest of Marienrode ), which belonged to the city of Borken in 1372 , there are the towns and hamlets listed in the following table .
With the reorganization of the administration in 1821, the judiciary and the administration was organized separately and the tasks of the Office Borken in the case law were in the 1823 and 1831 newly created Borken Justice Office transferred.

Later administrative reforms
These localities belonged to the Borken office until 1821. This year the offices of Homberg , Raboldshausen and Borken were merged to form the Homberg district. There were also shifts from localities to and from neighboring districts.
Judicial office
The Borken Office was converted into the Borken Justice Office. It was responsible for the courts of the Borken court , the court on the Efze , the court in the Vernegau and the court in den Hainen . It comprised 1 city, 15 villages and 2 farms.
