history
Wickersdorf and Wickershöfe
Reptich goes back to Wickersdorf , which was first mentioned in 1193 as "Wichardistorph" . On February 14, 1361, Wickersdorf was sold by Count Otto II. And Heinrich IV. Von Waldeck to Werner von Löwenstein-Westerburg , and in 1523 it was inherited by Heinrich von Löwenstein . After an inheritance dispute with Philip III. In 1531 Heinrich von Waldeck was enfeoffed with "Wigkeßdorff". In the fiefdom deed, the place is referred to as a desert . Heinrich now began to build a farm on the desert, from which the Wickershöfe, which still exist today, emerged . The Obere Hof and the Untere Hof are north of the center of Reptich and are still owned by the von Löwenstein family today.
The place Reptich
Towards the end of the 16th century, Gerhard von Löwenstein , owner of the Upper Court, tried to move Hintersassen to Wickersdorf. There were clearings made houses built and the settlers allowed to clear the Gilsa to the forested northern slope of the high mountain. The name Reptich appears for the first time in 1580, when the von Löwenstein and her back seaters were quoted as "zue Repdich und uff der Wustunge" in Kassel because Gerhard was in debt.
Reptich, which does not have its own church, has had a parish with Niederurff since at least 1743 . From 1911 to 1972 the place was the stop of the Kellerwaldbahn, which ran through the Gilsatal . On September 1, 1968, Reptich joined the community of Jesberg voluntarily as the first district.
