Leo Anchóriz

Leopoldo de Anchóriz Fustel (born September 22, 1932 in Almería , † February 17, 1987 in Madrid ) was a Spanish actor .

Life

Achóriz came to film through his acquaintance and friendship with the directors and scriptwriters José María Forqué and Jaime de Armiñán and worked on various films with both of them. In 1957 he made his first films and was often used as a character actor in gangster roles and as a bandit boss in spaghetti westerns. Anchóriz, often compared to his American colleague Frank Wolff , played one of his best-known roles in 1963 in Sandokan . He also played the theater; he was married since 1965.
