Leo Stein , actually Leo Rosenstein (born February 23, 1861 in Lemberg , † July 28, 1921 in Vienna ), was a librettist and playwright.

Leo Stein worked closely with the composers Johann Strauss , Franz Lehár , Emmerich Kálmán , Oskar Nedbal and the librettist Victor Léon . Together with him he contributed to Lehár's world successes as an author.

Leo Stein's grave is located in the Vienna Central Cemetery , Old Israelite Part, Gate 1.
