Leon Taylor (born June 4, 1983 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a pop singer. He became known as the quarter-finalist of the talent show Our Star for Oslo .

Life

Leon Taylor comes from a family of musicians. His father Ken Taylor is a bass player and his mother Felicia Taylor is a gospel singer . He started playing the piano at the age of five. When he was seven, she gave her first singing appearances in his mother's gospel choir. Taylor used the school holidays to accompany his father in his musical engagements. Taylor performed with artists such as Michael Jackson , Sarah Connor and Elton John in the years that followed.

After graduating from high school, he completed piano and vocal studies at the Frankfurt Conservatory . Since then he has been working as a professional musician and composer. In 2008 Taylor featured the song Balance on the album Caution, Level! des Rappers FR represented. Equilibrium was also implemented as a video. With his band he won the audience award from the John Lennon Talent Award 2008/2009. Taylor and his band supported Rod Stewart at the Beach Summer Festival Eckernförde . In 2010 he took part in the casting show Our Star for Oslo . He then represented the state of Hesse with Oceana at the Bundesvision Song Contest 2010 . The duo reached 12th place with 18 points. In 2011, Leon supported Kool Savas live at the MTV Live Sessions and TV total . In 2012 he was on tour with Kool Savas and the League of Extraordinary Mcees through Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where he took over the musical direction with his band. In the second half of 2012 he played the role of the fox and the hare with Peter Maffay's Tabaluga and the signs of the times , since then he has also been working as a background singer with Peter Maffay and cooperated with Laas Unltd. on the video single Tränen Aus Gold for his album Im Herzen Kind .

He has been working as a background singer for Helene Fischer since 2014 .
